New 2026 Skill-Based Visa Classification
Saudi Arabia has replaced the old “Professional vs. Non-Professional” model with a three-tier system. Every work visa (leading to an Iqama) now falls into one of these:

As of 2026, many specialized professions require a mandatory skill test before the visa is stamped.
The Test: Consists of a Theoretical (Computer-based) and Practical exam conducted at authorized centers in Pakistan (like NAVTTC).
